Can we get provider logos in responses?
Logos are static. Senang provides static URLs in the API responses.
Why do some test vehicles return no providers? Possible reasons: Vehicle already renewed Expired/lapsed policy Not supported by some providers’ underwriting rules. What if a policy is lapsed? Lapsed cases are not supported — no quotes will be returned. How do we know if a vehicle is a car or motorcycle? When vehicle details are submitted in the Generate Quote API request, Senang will respond with the vehicleType, indicating whether it is a car or a motorcycle. Why do some provider return Agreed Value min/max = 0? It means they do not support Agreed Value — only Market Value is allowed. Can we display provider’s agency codes? Yes. Example: Etiqa – V0037895 Takaful Ikhlas – GTX000007 Takaful Malaysia – GCA06084 Zurich Takaful – T63795H-001 Can we add coupon code for discounts? Yes. Coupon area is supported for marketing campaigns. Road Tax Intergration How do we include road tax in a quote? Use “inclusiveRoadTax”: true, in Update Quote API. Can road tax be renewed without insurance? Road tax must be renewed with insurance. What about processing fees? Roadtax and processing fee will be shown separately from the premium. Policy Issuance and Notifications Who sends the policy document to customers? For Takaful Ikhlas and Takaful Malaysia, policies will be sent to customers by Senang. For all other providers, policies will be sent directly by the providers. Can lapsed policy emails show Partner branding/contact? No. By BNM regulation, only the registered agency contact is shown. Partners can be BCC’d. Do providers send renewal reminders? No, providers do not send reminders. Error Handling & Troubleshooting Why do we sometimes see 500 status errors? Usually happens if Senang API is not responding or response handling is incorrect. Ensure logs are checked. Compliance and Regulatory Must BNM requirements be included in the UI? Yes. Partners must ensure the UI fully complies with all BNM requirements. Go-Live When can we go live? After: Senang internal UAT → Provider UAT → Provider UAT approval → Production API keys issued. Will all providers go live at once? Approvals are done in phases. After development in staging, the provider will test and share UAT results. Once all bugs are fixed and provider approval is received, Partners can go live. How long does provider approval take? On average, approval takes 2–4 weeks after submission. Partners must first complete internal testing with Senang and resolve any issues before submission to the provider for UAT approval. Can we soft-launch with friends/family? Not advised before provider approval. Production keys will not be provided until then. Senang Admin Portal Access What is Senang Admin Portal? Senang stores all successful and failed quotations here. Partners will receive login details to track and view the status of vehicle policies. Where can I access the staging admin portal? Partners can log in at https://portal-staging.senang.io/auth/login. Please share the email addresses of those who need access to admin portal. Once configured, you can log in to the admin portal and reset your password on first use.
